Double Coats Clipping Policy

If your pet is a breed who is “double coated” then this means they have an outer coat of hair which serves as protection and is resistant to weather, combined with an undercoat of softer hair for warmth and waterproofing.
This undercoat moults through the seasons and reflects the pet’s grooming routine and environment.

While a double coat does not require clipping, it does require a thorough brush out on a regular basis.

It is a Groovy Groom policy not to clip a double coat unless there is a medical reason which requires it.
